Industry Giants Launch Automotive Streaming Council to Define Guidelines and Strengthen Transparency in Connected TV and Digital Audio Advertising

New Council Unites Leading Streaming, Data, and Technology Companies to Promote Responsible Innovation and Establish Best Practices in Automotive Streaming

Los Angeles, CA – Thursday, September 4, 2025 – A coalition of industry leaders today announced the formation of the Automotive Streaming Council (ASC). This new alliance brings together executives from across the streaming media, technology, and data landscape to establish guidelines, uphold ethical standards, and promote greater transparency and performance in streaming advertising for the automotive industry.

As a self-regulatory body, the ASC will serve as a collaborative forum focused on addressing key challenges facing automotive advertisers. These include fragmented measurement practices, unclear attribution models, inconsistent ad experiences, growing concerns about data usage, and increasing risks of ad fraud. By aligning on shared principles and responsible innovation, the council aims to create a healthier and more accountable ecosystem for all stakeholders.

Founding member companies were selected based on their leadership in the streaming space, alignment with the council’s values, and proven commitment to ethical, performance-focused advertising. Each company contributes a distinct perspective, helping to ensure the council reflects the full complexity of the modern streaming environment for automotive.
